Lina Rincón, PhD is a sociologist, coach, trainer and speaker with extensive experience in leading and supporting institutional and professional development that promotes strategies that advance diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and accessibility (DEIJA). Lina uses the latest research and best practices to design and implement change management strategies in the areas of hiring and recruitment, teaching and learning and policy change for companies. She also offers coaching services to individuals that aim to improve their abilities to adopt inclusive and equitable behaviors in their practice.
Lina's Story
Lina is a bilingual and bicultural professional that migrated to the United States about 20 years ago. She has researched and worked closely with underrepresented minoritized communities anchoring their knowledge and power to reframe how diversity, inclusion, equity and social justice centered in different work settings, especially in higher education. Lina has led professional development that centers antiracism, intersectionality and DEIJA in the areas of leadership, policy review, teaching and learning, faculty and staff recruitment and retention, among other topics. As a professional development professional, inclusive instructor and speaker and researcher, Lina is experienced in facilitating workshops, conducting needs assessments and program evaluation and one-on-one coaching.

HACU Webinar - Inclusive and Equitable Hiring in Higher Education
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities hosted a webinar on leadership excellence, titled "Alignment and Intentionality: Lessons from Diverse Faculty Recruitment," on September 21st, presented by Dr. Lina Rincón. The webinar discussed challenges in increasing Hispanic representation at a four-year public Hispanic-Serving Institution, emphasizing the importance of clear goals for diverse faculty recruitment and retention. It also touched on the impact of recruitment procedures and the role of diversity programs. Dr. Rincón, a sociologist and faculty developer, previously served at Framingham State University, holding a doctorate from the State University of New York at Albany.
